The former head of the British Army General Sir Mike Jackson is still known for his tough talking and uncompromising style. British generals appear to be getting the taste for speaking the truth in public, a refreshing antidote to most leading politicians and Post Office CEO's. His auto-biography, published back in 2007, pulls few punches and gives a soldiers commentary on recent conflicts – both military and political.  If anyone will have an interesting take on our world today … it will be Sir Mike Jackson.  

Sir Mike retired from the Army in 2006 after 45 years serving his Queen and Country, and continues to speak on military matters and works as a consultant and guest lecturer. He has three children, from two marriages, and four grandchildren.
