It’s good to hear that actress, singer and good friend of Clive Conway Productions, Dame Patricia Routledge, has urged people ‘get their jab and stay safe’ after being vaccinated against covid-19 at a Sussex village hall.
The 92 year old, best known for her role as Hyacinth Bucket in the BBC sitcom Keeping Up Appearances, told her local newspaper : “I have had my first jab and I would urge everyone to take advantage of any invitation to do so. The best scientific minds have been working on this and the outcome will be positive. Get your jab and stay safe.”
Patricia still has a number of appearances booked with CCP and we hope that once restrictions are lifted we will be able to stage them.
She realises that there’s a generation of TV viewers who have no idea of her illustrious theatrical past as a actress and singer on the West End and Broadway stage.
Her show Facing the Music: A Life in Musical Theatre sets the record straight.
This wonderfully illuminating and entertaining production takes the form of a  discussion between actress Patricia and the writer, critic and broadcaster Edward Seckerson who maintains that her musical years are one of the best kept secrets in showbusiness.
They soon fill in the gaps revealing huge successes in musical theatre on both sides of the Atlantic.
Watch out for Patricia and Edward’s rescheduled dates on this soon to be revamped website.
