The Royal Family, global politicians, religious leaders, and celebrities have been voicing their appreciation for Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s life’s work since his death on 26th December 2021. Desmond Tutu’s commitment to truth, justice, equality, and reconciliation continues to be a source of inspiration to many in the fight against the divisions we face globally.

Plans are currently being put in place for a Memorial Evensong to honour Archbishop Desmond Tutu at Westminster Abbey, full details will be announced soon. Archbishop Tutu had visited the Abbey in 2014 to preach at a service of thanksgiving for the life of his great friend President Nelson Mandela.
